Ian Jackson, USA, honored lecturer

The Institute for Craniofacial and Reconstructive Surgery, affiliated with Providence Hospital. The Institute is a resource for advanced, specialized care in craniofacial, reconstructive, plastic and hand surgery. Multi-disciplinary specialists are available to provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care. Areas of specialization include reconstructive and aesthetic surgery for the skull and facial regions, resection and reconstruction of complex skull base tumors, hand surgery, reconstructive breast surgery and laser surgery. The Institute is under the direction of Ian T. Jackson, MD, FRCS, FACS, FRACS (hon.) a leading craniofacial surgeon and a pioneer in reconstructive surgery for major congenital deformities of the skull and face. Special interest in cleft lip palate, skull base tumors, vascular malformations and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Jackson is the author of many books and publications on these subjects.


Sydney Coleman, USA

dr_coleman2Sydney Reese Coleman, MD is the creator of LipoStructure and designer of the instruments necessary to perform this technique.
After Dr. Coleman received his doctorate in medicine from the University of Texas, he performed his internship and general surgery residency at the Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans. He went on to complete a three-year plastic surgery residency at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. During this time, he studied Aesthetic and Craniofacial Surgery with Fernando Ortiz-Monastario in Mexico City and completed a fellowship in Microsurgery at the R.K. Davies Hospital in San Francisco.
Dr. Coleman studied during a revolutionary period in plastic surgery and medicine. The first year of his plastic surgery residency, liposuction and collagen were introduced to the United States. During his residency, a multitude of new reconstructive plastic surgery procedures were invented by his mentors before his very eyes at the R.K. Davies Hospital, UC San Francisco, Stanford and in Mexico. Just prior to opening his New York City practice in 1985. Dr. Coleman is board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is a founding member of the International Consortium of Plastic Surgeons and the Harry Buncke Microsurgical Society. Although he has extensive training and a reputation in conventional aesthetic procedures, it is through his groundbreaking work on LipoStructure® that Dr. Coleman is changing the face of plastic surgery. Due to the demand by other surgeons for training in the technique, Dr. Coleman has published articles on LipoStructure®, lectures extensively at conferences, and regularly receives other plastic surgeons for observations of LipoStructure at his office. Recently Dr. Coleman has begun producing a series of educational videos concerning LipoStructure and it’s manifold applications. Dr. Coleman and his groundbreaking technique has received ongoing national and local media coverage.


Mark B. Constantian, USA

Dr. Constantian has been in private practice of plastic surgery for thirty-one years, and has previously held academic appointments at Harvard Medical School and Dartmouth Medical School.  He was born in Massachusetts, where his father and great grandfather were both physicians.  Dr. Constantian was educated at Columbia College, Dartmouth Medical School, and The University of Virginia School of Medicine.  He served his general surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center, where he was also National Institutes of Graduate Medical Sciences Fellow in academic surgery.  He spent five years in immunology research during his general surgery and plastic surgery training.  He completed plastic surgery fellowship at The Medical College of Virginia.Dr. Constantian has served as Associate Editor of Annals of Plastic Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.  He is Past President of the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, The Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons, The Rhinoplasty Society, and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.  He is the author of 24 textbook chapters, 60 refereed papers, and the author of two books.  His most recent publication, Rhinoplasty: Craft and Magic, was published in May, 2009.


Roger Khouri, USA

Dr. Khouri trained in General Surgery at UNC, in Plastic Surgery at Brown University, in Reconstructive Microsurgery at NYU and in Hand Surgery at Harvard. Prior to helping establish the Miami Hand Center he was professor of Plastic Surgery and in charge of the Hand Surgery Fellowship Training Program at Washington University / Barnes – Jewish Hospital. He has published over 100 scientific medical articles and three books on hand surgery and reconstructive microsurgery and has served as Associate Editor of the most prestigious Plastic & Hand Surgery Journals. He is an active member of many distinguished Medical & Surgical Societies and was a founding member of the Society for Peripheral Nerve Surgery and the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery.
Dr. Khouri is recognized all over the World for his innovative procedures and more recently for his minimally invasive treatment approaches. He has over 20 years of clinical experience as a Hand Surgeon & as a Plastic Surgeon.


Catherine Bruant-Rodier, France

Dr. Catherine Bruant-Rodier graduated as a Professor of plastic surgery form the University School of Medicine in Strasbourg 1995. She trained in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at Strasbourg University Hospital 1988 – 1990 and in Plastic Surgery and Maxillo-Facial Surgery  at Nancy University Hospital 1990 – 1991.
Dr. Catherine Bruant-Rodier is a member of many scientific societies, such as the French Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (SOFCPRE), French Society of Burns (CFCPRE), European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and Conseil National Universitaire (CNU) in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
She has served as a consultant for Skin Cancer & Angiomas , Breast Reconstruction and Cleft Lip Surgery and as Professor of Plastic, Reconstructive & Maxillo-Facila Surgery at the University Hospital in Strasbourg.
