Travel and lodging There are direct flights to Iceland from most countries in Western Europe as well as USA and Canada. The major airlines are Icelandair, Iceland Express, and SAS. Travel is sometimes less expensive if the stay includes night between Saturday and Sunday (and this is the main reason why the conference is scheduled to begin on a Sunday). Several rooms in the price range 60–170 euros per night have been reserved in guesthouses and hotels close to the conference venue.
