The Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon Express is not to be missed while you are in Iceland. The Blue Lagoon's warm water and natural active ingredients; mineral salts, silica and blue green algae help you relax and unwind while the Blue Lagoon white silica mud gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin. Sea Angling and Grill

A 3-hour fishing voyage off the coast of Iceland in search of the freshest fish possible. Eat the day’s catch for dinner, freshly prepared by an on-board chef, on the way back to the harbor. That is as fresh as it gets. Local fish include Haddock, Cod, Catfish, Pollock, Whiting, and Halibut. Participants are recommended to bring warm clothes and their own beverages, but all fishing gear is provided on board.

Whale Watching - afternoon

The whale watching tours start from the Reykjavik Old Harbour and on The Rose we sail past the puffin islands Akurey and Lundey, inhabited by thousands of puffins. From there it takes only a short time to get to where the whales are. In the whale watching tours you´ll see whales in their natural environment, quite up close and personal. The friendly guides and captain point out where to spot the whales on the surface of the sea and give you interesting information about the different kinds of whales you can expect to see.
It is safe to name the trip Whale Watching Express as The Rose is quite a fast cruiser, taking less time to reach the adventure out to the whales. Therefore the whale watching adventures with Special Tours only take 2 - 2 ½ hours. Our passengers get the same amount of time whale watching, simply less time waiting!

Horse riding – Lava Tour

An adventurous ride from the Íshestar Riding Centre into the lava fields surrounding Mt. Helgafell volcano to the old Kaldársel sheep corral or to Lake Hvaleyrarvatn through lava fields and across beautiful hillsides. View rough lava fields and look for different formations in the lava, maybe you will be able to spot a troll or two. The beautiful Bláfjöll Mountains tower above on the horizon. All riding is on excellent riding paths.

The route may include but is not limited to the following places; Reykjavik’s south facing beach - Ægissida, University of Iceland campus, Nordic House, Reykjavik’s Catholic Cathedral, Parliament building, Reykjavik's Old Harbour, Tjörnin City Lake and City Center. We also pass the home of some of Iceland’s most famous people.

The Golden Circle

Don´t miss out on the fascinating experience the Golden Circle gives you. You can walk around the world-famous Geysir geothermal area, a geothermal field where hot springs are in abundance, geysers explode and pools of mud bubble.
You also stop by the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall and visit Þinghvellir national park, the original site of the oldest existing parliament in the world. There the great Atlantic rift is clearly visible, a rift that is slowly pulling Iceland apart along tectonic plates.
